After Delta Air Lines shocked its SkyMiles elite<\/a> members with significant increases in elite status requirements<\/a> for the 2025 program year, the airline’s loyalists went up in arms<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Although Delta’s CEO recently announced six improvements to the SkyMiles program<\/a> \u2014 including the walk-back of some elite qualification requirements \u2014 Delta’s 2024 elite status requirements will still be between 25% and 67% higher than this year’s.<\/p>\n

United Airlines’ Premier elite members have been curious whether the airline would emulate Delta’s actions following the status controversy.<\/p>\n

During United’s earnings call on Oct. 18, the carrier shared its intentions regarding the Premier status requirements for the 2025 membership cycle.<\/p>\n
